Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow fog warning for Clare, as well as all of Munster, Connacht and Leinster.
Forecasters warn the fog will thicken this evening, with some dense areas of fog today and tonight.
The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow morning.
