Five schools in Clare have been allocated Government funding for essential works.
The Education Minister has signed-off on a 31 million euro fund under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme, for improvements to roofs, fire alarms and windows, while the upgrade of toilet and other sanitary facilities is being brought forward.
The announcement has been made now, to give schools time to plan for projects in the summer.

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD, Cathal Crowe has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that the announcement is welcome, particularly given difficulties posed by the pandemic over the past year.
