Former INTO President Says Return Of Special Schools To Provide ‘Blueprint’ For Full Return

A former Clare-based President of Ireland’s largest teachers union believes the return of special needs students will set up a ‘blueprint’ for a full reopening of schools next month.

Corofin councillor Joe Killeen’s comments come as the Education Minister has warned schools opening in February will depend on the general public’s behavior over the coming weeks.

Students with special needs will be able to return to class from next Thursday at primary level, with the situation still being examined for secondary students.
