Gardaí in Clare are warning people not to respond to texts or calls about Covid-19 vaccinations.
Scammers, purporting to be the HSE, are sending texts requesting sensitive data such as PPS numbers and dates of birth, while they’ve also been calling people to arrange fake vaccine appointments with people who can’t travel to hospitals.
Gardaí are advising people that this is a scam, that people should not to reply and that everyone will be contacted by their GP only, in relation to the vaccination.

It’s one of a number of scams reported to Gardaí in the past week.
