Doses Of Vaccine Should Have Been Delivered To Clare Healthcare Workers Earlier – INMO

The INMO says more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine should have been delivered to healthcare workers in Clare and Limerick in the early stages of the rollout.

The Organisation has this week described the rollout of the vaccine as “haphazard,” saying that doses were not prioritised for locations with the highest rate of infections, which included the Midwest at the start of the year.

Appearing before the Oireachtas Health Committee, General Secretary Phil Ni Sheaghdha  expressed hopes that some of the early problems are now being addressed.

She also called for greater scrutiny of the vaccine rollout.
