In Clare Haven 10 women and 17 children were given refuge, safety and security in November. A further 72 helpline calls were received to the service in that month alone.

Of the 13 children in refuge for December, 3 children woke up on Christmas morning in the care of the refuge due to domestic abuse in their home.

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Dr. Siobhán O’Connor, Manager of Services at Clare Haven.
