€400,000 in government funding has been announced for two projects Clare under the Outdoor Recreational Infrastructure Scheme.
€200,000 each is to be spent on a walkway and cycle ways along the River Fergus, joining Ennis and Clarecastle, as well as on the development of canoe trails on the River Shannon at O’Briensbridge.
It’s part of an overall announcement worth over €6.5 million made today by Minister Heather Humphreys.
