Family Of Late Laura Brennan Express Concern Over This Year’s HPV Vaccine Programme

It’s approaching the second anniversary of the passing of Laura Brennan and in light of that her family have expressed concern at the deferral of this year’s HPV vaccination programme.

They are calling for the HPV vaccine to be reinstated in the public health agenda and for a ‘catch-up’ programme to be established to offer the vaccine to anyone who may have missed it due to the school closures during the pandemic.

The family is appealing for the Department of Health to examine the possibility of using existing Covid-19 vaccination facilities to vaccinate first-year boys and girls and complete the current year of vaccination against HPV.

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Laura’s brother Kevin Brennan.
