Widow Appeals To Taoiseach And US President On 2nd Anniversary Of Mick Ryan’s Passing

The widow of Lahinch engineer Micheál Ryan is appealing to both the Taoiseach and the US President for assistance on the second anniversary of his death.

It’s two years to the day since Micheál, who worked for the UN’s World Food programme, was among 157 people who died when their Boeing 737 Max Aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from Addis Ababa.

His family has maintained the plane, known to be defective by operators, had been allowed to remain in service.

Boeing was fined 2 billion euro earlier this year for misleading regulators about the safety of its 737 Max planes.

The Irish Examiner reports Micheál’s widow Naoise his written to Taoiseach Micheal Martin and US President Joe Biden, seeking to raise awareness of the case, as well as what she says is justice, accountability and transparency from Boeing.
