The Department of Education says it’s at ‘an advanced stage’ of acquiring a site to construct a new building for the Educate Together primary school in Ennis.
The school, currently based on the Gort Road at a site owned by the local authority, caters for more than 60 pupils from junior infants to sixth class.
It currently operates from prefab facilities, with a recent Department analysis determining that a new, permanent building is needed.

Responding to questioning in the Seanad from Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway, junior minister for children Anne Rabbitte says that process is already at an advanced stage.
