Clare has experienced one of the largest percentage drops in the country of COVID-19 cases in the past week.
Confirmed cases in this county in the seven days up to March 19th have dropped by 31 percent in that time according to the CSO, with only five counties seeing a higher fall over the same period.
The 25 cases diagnosed in Clare in the week up to last Friday is also the lowest number here since the week of December 11th.

The number of close contacts for people in Clare here has also dropped in the past fortnight, and now stands at 2.4 having been at 2.7 two weeks ago.
A further two COVID-related deaths have been recorded, leaving Clare’s death toll since the beginning of the pandemic at 110.
