Clare’s Green Councillor believes a culture of change is needed with regard to the health and education of children with disabilities.
There have been calls for an independent investigation into revelations uncovered by RTÉ Investigates, that the Department of Health built and maintained dossiers of infomraiton on children with autism invovled in legal cases from the state.
Green Party Councillor and mother to an adult son with autism, Susan Crawford admits there has been positve progress in terms of access to school services, with increased ASD uniots or specialised settings in mainstream schools.

But she says its an awful system that requires a top down approach towards change.
