Clare Wet Publicans Claim They’ve Been ‘Forgetting’ In Road Map For Easing Restrictions

Clare publicans claim they’ve been ‘forgotten’ by the Government in its latest road map to easing COVID-19 restrictions.

It comes as it’s been confirmed wet pubs won’t benefit from a grant being offered to cafes and restaurants to set up outdoor dining spaces this summer.

Pubs that don’t serve food were also not mentioned by Taoiseach Micheal Martin in his address to the nation earlier this week.

Anne Casey, of Casey’s Bar in Sixmilebridge, says they feel let down by the government on a lack of clarity regarding when they can reopen their doors.
