The HSE’s Director of Public Health in the Midwest is warning that we’re at a critical point in the fight against covid-19.
Dr Mai Mannix is again acknowledging Clare’s people’s work in suppressing the virus in March, with fewer than five daily cases for the last six days, and fewer than 10 daily cases for most of last month.
But she’s warning that people’s behaviour over the next four to eight weeks will determine whether a fourth wave takes hold.

Dr Mannix says Clare people have fought a great battle and conquered three waves of the virus, but now she’s urging people to hold firm to ensure a brighter summer.
