There are fears that people in Clare may be missing their COVID-19 vaccine appointment due to them incorrectly suspecting the HSE’s mass texting system to be a scam.
The message sent to those being scheduled appointments asks people to reply with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ answer to a generic mobile number – but it is in fact legitimate.
The confusion has reportedly led to people missing their scheduled appointments and dropping to the back of the queue of those entitled to the jab.
