A former Clare senior hurling captain is hopeful Brian Lohan’s options in defence will be boosted by the emergence of some new talent in the upcoming National Hurling League campaign.
The Banner are now less than three weeks away from their opening Division 1B clash away to Antrim having returned to the training field this week.
Both Eibhear Quilligan and Rory Hayes received All Star nominations last year having cut their teeth in the senior side.

However, Clare FM hurling analyst Tommy Guilfoyle is hopeful the Banner will find even more strength in depth during the upcoming league campaign.
