A prominent Clare disability rights activist says primary medical certificates are vital for maintaining access for people in this county and elsewhere.
It comes as the government has promised to fast-track applications for the documents, which allow tax relief on adapted vehicles.
The processing of applications only resumed in January after they had been suspended following a Supreme Court decision last summer.

There are fears a significant backlog still exists in the assessment system, although over 400 assessments have been carried out over the past few weeks, and Ann Marie Flanagan of the Clare Leader Forum says this needs to be addressed urgently.
