One of the Mid-West’s leading homeless service providers is calling for a change in how the number of homeless people are counted, in order to drive progress on the issue.
It comes as new figures show the Mid-west has the highest level of homelessness outside of Dublin, with Clare having one of the highest rates of rural counties in the country.
Six people per 10,000 in Clare are now homeless according to the Department of Housing.
