Clare rents have seen some of the biggest increases of anywhere in the country.
The latest report by Daft.ie shows rents here have increased by 9.6 per cent over the past year – in percentage terms, only Kerry has seen a bigger increase.
The average monthly rent here now stands at €972 as supply continues to be a major issue.

The report’s author Ronan Lyons claims investment funds have a role to play in the rental market and is worried they could be pushed out.
