Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is urging Clare businesses to remain security conscious as they resume trading today.
Sergeant Triona Brooks believes a small investment of time and money can ensure that shops are less likely to be targetted by criminals over the coming weeks, who she says will take advantage of easy opportunities.
She’s encouraging managers and staff to check all entry points including gates, fences, doors and windows to ensure they haven’t been tampered with and to remove the means to commit crime such as ladders and wheelie bins.
