An East Clare councillor says the Killaloe bypass ‘can’t come quick enough’ to manage traffic tailbacks in the town.
It’s after Clare County Council has said it could be 2025 before the project is completed, with the pandemic having caused significant delays.
Construction is scheduled to begin on site in Spring 2022, with works expected to take between 2 and a half and three years to complete.

Fine Gael councillor Pat Burke says despite the delay, he’s upbeat about the timescale of the development.
