Cinema operators in Clare and elsewhere are calling for clarity for when they will be permitted to reopen their doors.
Initially, both theatres and cinemas were given the 7th of June as a date for restarting business, but that has since been removed from the government’s online reopening roadmap.
Evidence from the industries’ three main global bodies shows that while they were open, there were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported from cinema settings.

Director of Omniplex Cinemas, Mark Anderson, says he is looking forward to opening its Shannon branch but that a date is needed as soon as possible.
