Blanket Rule Shouldn’t Be Applied To Pandemic Supports Says East Clare B&B Owner

An East Clare B&B owner claims a blanket rule for all businsses shouldn’t be applied, when pandemic supports are being phased out.

The Cabinet is meeting tomorrow to discuss the national economic plan for the coming months and while the Government has promised there will be no cliff-edge end to supports, it has warned that changes are likely from the Autumn.

Teresa Browne of Clareville House B&B says many businesses in inland areas aren’t benefitting from the staycation market to the same extend as coastal areas and she fears they might not remain viable over the coming months.
