The Taoiseach’s office is considering a proposal to hold a pilot re-opening of the Queen’s Hotel nightclub in Ennis.
It’s understood a plan involving the facility and Ennis Chamber has been thrashed out over the past number of weeks, which could potentially support an event of a maximum of 250 people.
Antigen COVID-19 testing will be delivered on site if the proposal is given the green light in the coming weeks.

Clare Fine Gael Deputy Joe Carey, who has made representations to Taoiseach Micheal Martin on the matter, says such an event being held in a town the size of Ennis would make sense.
