A prominent Clare campaigner fears people will die as a result of what he’s described as the perfect storm of problems that have hit the health service.
The Health Committee this week heard that a record 883 thousand people are now on waiting lists and over 21,000 patients are now waiting longer than one year for essential hospital treatment.
While up to 2 thousand people may have had their cancer undiagnosed last year.

Quin man John Wall, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer believes while the problems facing the health service have been laid bare, not enough solutions have been put forward and he fears that will have serious consequences.
