Clare Blood Banks Challenged As Supplies Run Low

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says the pandemic has put additional strain on stocks in Clare.

The demand from hospitals for blood has increased by 10% since April, prompting an appeal to both regular and new donors to come forward.

Blood Donation Clinics are running by appointment only each evening this week until Thursday at St Josephs GAA Club, Doora Barefield, with a transport service provided by Local Link to facilitate people from Ennis town.
