Almost 700 people have signed off the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in the past week in this county.
5,710 people in Clare who are currently out of work received the pandemic support into their bank accounts yesterday, the lowest number so far this year.
The figure is over 9,000 fewer than the peak of 14,869 who availed of the payment back in May of 2020.

Nationally, just over 244,000 people receive the PUP this week, a decrease of over 23,000 on last week, and the lowest number since October of last year.
