Elderly people living in large homes may be offered tax incentives and grants to downsize under new Government plans.
The measure is being considered as part of the ‘Housing For All’ plan, due to be published next month.

There was a significant negative reaction to the idea when it was raised back in 2016 – with concerns that the infrastructure to accommodate older people in smaller homes suited to their needs isn’t available.
