Clare hurling boss Brian Lohan feels there is a huge weight lifted from the camp after their Munster championship win over Waterford.
1-12 from Tony Kelly, including a first half penalty, helped the Banner hold off a late Deise fightback to run out winners by 1-22 to 0-21 in Thurles.
It sets up a provincial semi final against Tipperary next weekend with that game fixed for Sunday afternoon at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
