63 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is double that of any other facility in the country today.

The latest INMO figures show 63 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 42 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 35 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital and comes on a day when there are 278 patients waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
