A Clare Cardiac Arrest Survivor is pleading with the public to learn CPR skills.
Barefield’s Paul Noonan was 36 when he suffered a heart attack at his home in 2019 while working on the couch.
After he collapsed, his wife Eilís administered CPR until an ambulance arrived. He then spent a week in an induced coma in ICU and has since been fitted with a mini-defibrillator in his heart.

Paul says that his wife’s CPR skills saved his life and that the experience has taught him you never know when you may need first aid.
