Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Urges People To Stay Cautious On Staycation

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is urging people from this county to stay cautious when on staycation.

As holidaymakers look forward to a summer break at home, both Gardaí and the RSA have recently launched a joint campaign urging road users to ensure they stay safe on the road.

Sergeant Tríona Brooks is advising people planning a staycation to plan your journey in advance, take frequent breaks and ensure everyone in your vehicle is wearing their safety belt.

Sergeant Brooks is also asking people to be mindful of other road users, like pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists and motor cyclists and has this advice for anyone heading away.
