Funding has been approved for for the design of a water leakage reduction programme in a West Clare village.
Concern has been raised on a number of occasion by residents in the Tullabrack and Gower areas of Cooraclare in recent times.
Irish Water has now confirmed to Clare’s Independent TD, Michael McNamara that a budget has been approved for the design of approximately 1.8km of mains replacement on the line that serves the area.

The section will go to construction pending national and county prioritisation and budget availability, but no timeline for the delivery of the works has yet been outlined.
