Clare’s Camogie manager says his team showed superb character despite losing to defending champions Kilkenny in their All-Ireland Camogie Championship clash yesterday.
Kilkenny eventually emerged 0-22 to 0-16 winners at O Garney Park, but Ger O’ Connell believes many of Kilkenny’s scores came from Clare’s fumbles and mistakes.
It’s the first time The Banner didn’t concede a goal against Kilkenny at senior level showing the sides continuous improvement and drive.

The Banner will now turn their attentions to their game with Galway in seven days time where O’Connell says they have to aim and win.
