A further €320,000 has been set aside for upgrading rural roads and laneways in Clare.
The Local Improvement Scheme grant from the Department of Rural and Community Development is in addition to the half a million euro set aside under the same initiative for this county last month.
It’s a further increase to Clare’s 2020 funding, with the monies provided to be complemented by a financial contribution from local landowners or householders, as well as local authority resources.

€10.5 million in total has been earmarked under the Our Rural Future allocation nationally, doubling its initial investment to 21 million euro.
