Ennis Solicitor Says Vaccine Compensation Scheme A ‘New, Evolving Area’

The Health Minister says a proposed vaccine compensation scheme won’t be specific to Covid-19.

Stephen Donnelly has confirmed work is underway to bring forward a policy on vaccine redress, which would be aimed at people who claim they have suffered injury as a result of a vaccination.

A campaign to establish a redress scheme has been underway for years, long before Covid-19 emerged and while no timeline has been outlined by Government, work in the Department of Health is said to be at an advanced stage.
