McNamara: Return Of Crowds To Club Camogie Championships Hugely Positive

The PRO of the Clare Camogie Board feels having spectators back at this year’s club championship will be a hugely positive development.

Covid-19 restrictions meant that last year’s race for the McMahon Cup was played behind closed doors, with Inagh-Kilnamona being crowned champions after victory over Newmarket.

This year’s championship is scheduled to get underway on Saturday September 18th, with the holders taking on the newly crowned intermediate champions Feakle-Killanena in the opening round.

The other Group Two tie sees Sixmilebridge take on Truagh-Clonlara.

In Group One, last years beaten finalists Newmarket take on Kilkishen-Bodyke while Kilmaley face Scariff-Ogonnelloe.

Clare Camogie PRO Brid McNamara says everyone is looking forward to another step back toward normality.
