Ennis has been allocated more than €186,000 in funding under the Government’s Outdoor Dining Enhancement Scheme.
The grant has been earmarked to help develop public spaces and facilitate year-round outdoor dining in the town.
Failte Ireland says the investment will work to facilitate greater capacity by supporting local authorities to upgrade facilities.

The funding will focus on Francis Street, Lower Parnell Street, the Abbey Street Car Park and the Templegate Plaza.
Chief executive of Failte Ireland, Paul Kelly, says the structures will be helpful, particularly when the weather turns.
