The CEO of Shannon Chamber has expressed hope that the resumption of Aer Lingus’ Shannon to London Heathrow route will remain a permanent fixture.
The service is recommencing today, for ten weeks, while works on Cork Airport’s runway are ongoing, with the route departing Shannon at 5pm seven days a week until mid-November.
Shannon Chamber has described the route as an essential connectivity hub for the tourism and business sectors.

CEO, Helen Downes is calling on local people to support the route in the hope that it will continue as a longterm fixture.
