Trolley Numbers And Numbers Of Covid Patients At UHL Reduce Slightly

The level of overcrowing at the region’s main hospital has eased slightly today.

The latest INMO figures show 67 people were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 27 of those in the emergency department.

It comes on a week when unprecendented numbers have been presenting at the Dooradoyle facility for treatment, which has compounded issues presented by a covid outbreak, which resulted in four ward closures.
