A stunning second half turnaround saw Newmarket turn over their parish neighbours to book a spot in the Clare SHC semi finals.
A dominant second quarter for the Shannon men had seen them build a 0-12 to 0-6 half time lead, with Aaron Cunningham leading the line brilliantly for the Tones.
The fight back was kickstarted in the second half as Mikey McInerney swept home a goal to put the game back in the melting pot.

Wolfe Tones rallied to stay in front by the minimum at the final water break, but Colin Ryan’s influence was telling as Newmarket outscored their opponents by 0-5 to to 0-1 in the last quarter to seal the 1-15 to 0-15 win.
