Collins Proposed As One Of Clare’s Delegates To GAA Special Congress

Clare senior football manager Colm Collins is set to be in attendance at tomorrow’s Special GAA Convention.

The Cratloe clubman has been one of the strong advocates in favour of proposal B to restructure the football championship, with Clare’s delegates confirming their intention to back the proposed move.

The proposal, which would see the Munster championship become a stand alone competition with a league based All Ireland series, needs 60% support to pass the vote.

Chairman of Clare GAA Jack Chaplin outlined earlier this week that Clare would be in favour of proposal B, because that is what the manager and players want to see passed.

The move for Collins to be one of Clare’s delegates in Croke Park tomorrow was proposed by Niomh Madigan (Kilrush Shamrocks) and seconded by John Brew (Kilmurry Ibrickane).
