39 properties across Clare were on the derelict sites register at the beginning of this year.
Figures released through the Oireachtas show this county has among the lowest number of vacant sites registered in the country.
However, it’s nearly treble the 15 vacant sites that were considered derelict at the beginning of 2020.

A previous Freedom of Information request from Clare FM showed Clare County Council has not recouped a single penny from the vacant site levy since its introduction in 2017.
The local authority has said it will ‘continue to review’ the Register and take ‘appropriate action’ as required.
