There are set to be a number of contests for positions of the executive of Clare GAA for 2022.
The race for the chairman position is between current chairman Jack Chaplin and current vice chairman Kieran Keating.
Eire Óg’s Paddy Smyth, O’Callaghan’s Mills clubman Neil O’Brien and current PRO Michael O’Connor are believed to be nominated for vice chair.
O’Connor’s decision to allow his name forward for the vice chairman seat means that a new PRO will be required.
It is also understood that Kilmurry Ibrickane’s Rebecca Sexton is nominated for the position of treasurer, but it is not yet known if Michael Gallagher intends to contest the election to remain in his current role for one more year.
This year’s Convention is set to take place on Tuesday December 14th.
