The Labour Court recommendations for the redundancy deal for workers at Element 6 in Shannon have been endorsed by members of the UNITE staff group.
The recommendations from the Industrial Relations Body released last week, include a package of 4 weeks pay for every year of service capped at a year and a half salary

SIPTU and the TEEU have still to declare their position on the new recommendations while the company itself has also yet to comment.
In a statement, the UNITE group which represents non union and middle management at the industrial diamond manufacturer say that they are recommending the acceptance of the ruling in the hope that it will help progress the implementation of the Shannon Sustainability Plan
