East Clare Prison Officer Due in Court

The book of evidence is due to be served in the case of an East Clare Prison officer facing drugs charges today.

51 year old Tomas Corry from Aughrim, Scariff is charged with possession of cannabis resin and cocaine for the purpose of sale or supply at Roxboro Road on the 16th of March last.

He is also charged with possession of prescription drugs for the purpose of sale or supply on the same date.

Mr Corry is currently on bail and due back before Limerick District Court today where Gardaí and the DPP have been told the book of evidence must be ready to go forward for trial or the case will be thrown out.
