Calls have been made for a review of the controversial recycling charge in Clare and the cost of local landfill charges as the rise in illegal dumping continues.

Ahead of its annual budget, Clare County Council is being asked to assess whether the 3 euro bring centre levy has actually deterred people from recycling and whether charges in general are contributing to the problem of roadside dumping.
