Proposed industrial action by Revenue Collectors at Clare County Council has been averted for now following an interim agreement.
The council executive has tried to streamline its revenue collection service, by making 16 revenue collectors office based rather than home-based, but the employees had expressed opposition to the changes in work practice.
Clare County Council and the IMPACT union have now reached an interim agreement regarding the office-based revenue collection system with best use of modern technology in the Council.

Both parties have committed to ongoing talks and customer services are continuing as normal during the talks.
