Help from Europe could be on the way for flood Victims in Ennis, Clonlara, Carron and other areas.
Two Clare TDs are travelling to Brussels this morning to make an appeal for assistance for local people whose homes, farms and businesses have been damaged by the recent floods, from the EU Solidarity fund.
With the flooding damage estimated to run to millions of euro throughout the country, The European Commissioner for Regional Policy will be pressed to provide prompt assistance to the people of Clare when he’s met by Deputies Pat Breen and Timmy Dooley
