Up to five hundred new jobs could be created in Clare with the proposed development of a private hospital on the outskirts of Ennis.
Plans for the 60 million euro project have been lodged with Clare County Council and if it gets teh green light could be up and running in 20/12.
The 140 bed private development at Shanaway Road includes 120 in-patient beds and a further 20 outpatient ones.
The facilities will also provide a full range of medical and healthcare services as well as physiotherapy, MRI scans, mamograms and dental facilities.
100 jobs would be created during contruction and between 400 and 500 when full opperational.
